The Vibrational Universe

Your beliefs establish your creative range. In other words, your beliefs establish the parameters of what you can have. Joe is a person who does not believe himself capable of having money, so the lower range of his possible manifestation will be, I can make enough to survive and the top of his range might be, I always have enough to pay the bills, with a little left over. If you are like Ted Turner, however, you may consider it your God given right to have a few billion dollars. Mr. Turners range of possible manifestation is orders of magnitude greater than Joes.

It is impossible to create and manifest beyond the boundaries of your beliefs. This is one of the most important principles in the Universal Operating System (see the book The Vibrational Universe for details).

Your beliefs are established by the broad, general (but powerful) decisions you make about yourself. I am fun loving. I am intelligent. I am a loving person. I am poor and Ill always be poor. These sorts of powerful I AM statements establish states of being. A state of being is a decision about what (or how) to BE. States of being are vitally important, for from them proceed your beliefs, thoughts and attitudes about yourself, others, and life itself.

Once you have established a state of being about anything, you begin to flesh them out, to become more specific. Here is where the role of thoughts come in. Thoughts establish the specifics of your desires.

A desire comes forth quickly from a state of being. The decision, I am fun loving will lead to many desires. I like to make people laugh. I like to make up and learn new jokes. I want to write them down so I dont forget. Now I have a routine I can perform to make others laugh. I would like to be a professional comedian. Etc. The list is probably endless!

Your thoughts determine the precise nature of what you will eventually manifest. Ill get a job at the Improv, even if I have to be a janitor. Ill listen every night to the performers and learn how to perform a comedy routine. Ill get an agent and a publicist and tour the comedy circuit. Etc. If your thoughts are lined up with your desires, then your life experiences will be a match to your desires. If they are not, you will experience something different. I want to be a comedian but I dont think Im funny enough. I cant make enough money being a comedian. Etc. These thoughts are not a match to your desire, and in fact are selflimiting, causing you to feel negative emotion and fail to take the actions that will guarantee law of success. These thoughts also shut off the flow of life force energy and cause blockages and distortions in your human energy field.

If you do not determine precisely what you want, then what you manifest will be fuzzy as well. I want a car, is a lot different than, I want a silver Toyota Camry with a blue interior and a CD player. The former might lead to manifestation of an old junker!

Your emotions and feelings are a perfect mirror to what you think and what you believe. Your feelings tell you whether you are, in this moment, treading the correct path which will lead to the manifestation of your desires. Your emotions tell you whether you are aligning properly to the goals you have set for yourself.

You are ALWAYS creating something, because you are always thinking and doing. It is absolutely vital to understand the powerful role of thought not only in the creative process, but in life. Many people do not realize that life itself is a creative process! They do not realize that the universe and everything in it is continually responding to them, but it is! The only way to prove that to yourself is to become more aware of what you're thinking and how that relates to your actions and the manifestations you receive. Once you become aware of that connection, you will experience a quantum leap in self confidence and personal power.

Improving The Safety Of Your Home For Elderly Loved Ones

Everybody get old; its a simple fact of life that can be hard to face. The truth is that muscles and bones get weaker and the home can slowly become a dangerous place. However, making some minor modifications to keep your loved ones safe is a very easy process.

Improving safety indoors

You cant always prevent falls, but there are many things that you can do to help prevent them. Here are a few ideas:

Clear floors of clutter The majority of falls come from having a messy house. Be sure to keep all floors clear. The less of a struggle is it to move around the home, the less chance of falling. Make sure things are within reach, as well.

Well lit rooms Just as important as important as having clear floors, make sure things are lit well enough so you can see that the floors are clear. Keep plenty of flashlights around for blackouts, too.

Safety railings Grab bars and safety railings can be installed all around the house. Be sure to fix them to the bathtub and next to the toilet. Bed railings can also help keep your loved ones from falling out of bed at night.

Non-Slip mats Place non-slip mats underneath rugs and be sure to use them in the bathtub and on stairs.

Improving safety outdoors

Being safe outdoors is just as important as being safe in your home, but theres not as much you can do to prevent danger. Make sure you assist your loved one by holding their arm when walking. If any roads or sidewalks become wet or icy, be sure to salt or sand them. Using a cane for any uneven ground is also advised.

What to do if they do fall

Not all falls can be prevented, accidents happen. When they do, the first thing you should do is not panic. If you panic, youll cause your loved one to panic as well. If theyre not able to get up, cover them with a blanket until help arrives.

Overall, you cant prevent every fall, accident, or slip. You can, however, prevent the majority of them. The home is the place your loved ones will probably spend the most time in, so its the first place you should start.

Personal Growth - Why It Is Important

Why are personal growth and self-improvement important, not just to certain individuals who are committed to growing, but to everyone? It is a question that needs to be asked and answered. Sure, it will make a pleasing little article to read, but more importantly, the answer affects our entire planet.

When we are beset all around us with violence, hatred, prejudice, and illness, it is critical to examine why this is so. It is even more crucial to do something about it.

Now, it is impossible to change the world, or even to change a few others. Have you ever tried to change your spouse or your child? Has it worked? No, of course it hasnt. It is certainly a lesson in frustration for anyone who has attempted it.

However, we CAN change ourselves and in so doing affect the rest of the world. Dont believe it? There is actual proof that this is true. The proof comes from a scientific body of study called Quantum Physics, and the Law of Attraction, which is outlined in the recent hit movie The Secret. The Law of Attraction works whether you know about it or not, so you might as well use it to make your life better.

Quantum physics laws have proven that everything is made of energy. EVERYTHING. Therefore, even your thoughts and desires are energy, i.e. non-physical realities that have not yet manifested in the physical realm.

What that means is that whatever you focus your thoughts on creates your reality. Well, this is good news and bad news. The bad news is that when you think about what you dont want or are afraid of or dislike, you create more of that in your life. The good news is that if you focus on what you do want, it comes to you in abundance!

Like attracts like. You have heard this before, I am certain. In other words, your thought energy attracts similar energy. If your thoughts are positive and happy, then they attract others who are positive and happy. Either those around you who are not happy and successful will go away or they will shift to a more positive energy.

I am sure we have all experienced this. If you are around happy people who are moving forward in their lives, you tend to feel happier and more content too. They are fun and easy to be around.

Conversely, if your thoughts are negative, filled with anger or fears, then you will attract more of the same in your life. You will even affect people around you to be more negative or fearful. Have you ever experienced being in the company of someone who was constantly complaining or criticizing everyone and everything? How did it make you feel? Not very good I am sure.

Obviously, for our entire planet to be more positive and healthy, more individuals need to raise their own vibration to positive, abundant, healing levels. If we do not make this an important focus in our lives, then our world will not improve and will continue with the crises and issues that overflow our news reports every day.

I know I, for one, want to live in a world that is healthy, abundant in every way, and surrounded by like-minded people. We all deserve this and need to be responsible for our energy and the way we influence others. That is why personal growth should be a priority in everyones life, not tomorrow or next month, but right now.

Characteristics of a Good Leader

Its interesting to hear the responses from executives when I ask them, What are the characteristics of a good Leader?

If I ask that question in a large room of executives, or even upper level managers the answers will be all over the map, and many are conflicting.

A couple of the usual answers are:

  • A leader is someone that empowers those working for him to make their own decisions.
  • A leader is someone who gives clear, direct orders, a take charge person that commands his employees.

    The first implies that we let the employees make up their own minds what to do, and how to get the end result. The second implies that wed better be somewhat of a micromanager and tell everyone exactly what to do and how to do it.

    Arent those somewhat conflicting?

    After we have built a huge list, and almost always the RIGHT answer isnt there, Ill point out to them they have put several conflicting statements up there.

    So, If you had to narrow it down to just one thing that defines a really good leader, what would it be?

    Out of all the years Ive asked that question of executives, I believe only one time has someone even come close to the answer. The answer is A leader gets results. I believe that the reason there were so many conflicting characteristics is that most of what we put up there was situational. A good leader always knows when to use whatever tool according to the situation to get the results that are needed.

    Too many are stuck in one mode or the other because that is the right way to do it, such as empowering employees. Ill admit that is usually the best way, but there are employees that need a nudge once in a while, that perform well when given step-by-step directions instead of guidelines.

    Too many are focused on activities, and then get frustrated because they dont get results.

    A good leader knows how to find the right tool, when to use it, and always delivers results.

    Differentiation - The Key To People Remembering You And Your Game

    What exactly are you selling? What is your product or service? How do you differentiate yourself from everyone else? Are you really interested in being at the top of your game? Strange question isnt it? You might here people say, I am in the tradeshow labor business, so I sell labor, or I am in the office supply business, so I sell office supplies, or I am in the coaching business, so I sell coaching. But what is it that you really sell? Why would I buy from you, there are many people out there selling the same product. You are just the same; I might as well stay with who I have.

    I used to be in the contract labor business for the tradeshow industry. So I sold labor right? Wrong what I sold was peace of mind. What I sold was the comfort that the customer would have by using us for his/her labor needs. The feeling that he/she would have no concerns over getting the work done, because we were that good. That is what I was selling, and once I defined it that way, I totally differentiated our company from all the rest and we became a leader in the industry. While my competition would try and sell you labor to put your booth up, I would be selling you the belief that all your problems were my problems and I would take care of them. That you could be totally confident that your job would not just get done, but get done very well. We even took it further by going outside our areas and helping you in any situation you needed help. Now, instead of worrying about your booth going up and everything coming together, you could relax, enjoy the process, and know your boss would think you did a great job. How about you, what business are you in? How are you differentiating yourself from the competition? What are you selling?

    Let us look at a few more examples to help you see what we are talking about. Let us share some success stories about different businesses and what happens when you are not like the rest.

    I have a friend that sells office supplies. Wrong he does not sell office supplies what he sells is convenience. What you might ask does that mean? Simply, that I could go and buy my office supplies at Staples, or Office Max, or online at a variety of vendors. They all have a price break; they all have the same products. So why do I buy from this vendor? Because if I need something quick, I can pick up the phone, call him or send him an email and he will have it to me the next day. What is that worth? If I am online ordering and have a problem I can call him direct and get the answer I need, get the help I need. What is that worth? What is he selling? Anyone can sell office supplies, I can buy them from any vendor, but I can only buy this super service from this vendor that is what differentiates him.

    My own product is coaching business owners and professionals. Or is it? What is my real product? My real product is success beyond what you think you can achieve. So when I speak with a prospect, I am not trying to get them to buy coaching, what I am trying to get them to buy into is taking their business and life to new levels of success. The beliefs that if they work with me, their business will grow to the place they want. So my product is success. Anyone can sell you coaching, what I sell you is building a very successful business and life exceeding your expectations.

    Point is that if you differentiate your product/service, you need to make sure people remember who you are. You can take two sales people sitting in office right next to each other. One makes $25,000 a year, the other $250,000 a year. Why? Maybe because one is selling insurance and the other is selling assurance.

    I now want you to look at your business and answer these questions.

    1. What is it that your customers buy from you? Have you ask them? Ask.
    2. Your top 10 customers why do they buy from you? Ask them.
    3. How do you present your product to new prospects?
    4. How could you better present it and close more business?
    Go out and differentiate your product. You can make it so unique, that no one else is selling what you have, but everyone wants to buy what you are selling.

    Is This All There Is

    When we hit middle age or thereabouts, it's not unusual to begin asking questions such as, "Is this it?"

    Before that, we are busy with kids, careers, and all the things that, as we become older, begin slipping through our fingers like water - without our even realizing it at times.

    Whatever we are doing, or have done, is only temporary, and this takes a while to sink in. Even the money we have accumulated only buys so many vacations, cruises, or second and third homes; and pretty soon we find ourselves saying, "been there done that" way too many times.

    For questions such as, "Is this it?" to come up, something has to slow us down. As long as we can maintain our busyness, these kinds of questions may never come up. "Keep your mind busy, honey," (your grandmother might say), "A busy mind is a happy mind!" Good advice. Because once you begin to question things, busyness doesn't help so much - best to hold off these kinds of questions if you can, (unless you have guts!)

    But try as we might, sure as heck something usually happens to wake us up, if we're fortunate, and it usually isn't pretty - usually traumatic actually. Nothing like a little financial disaster, serious illness, or losing something or someone that's very close, to alter our glass-half-full outlook on life!

    Of course, the kneejerk reaction to coming face-to-face with these deep questions is to root out some answers from someone else in some book somewhere, or on the web - too much time and trouble to find the answers ourselves! This is a fatal error, simply because the process of the search, and the white beads that you will sweat in finding your own answers, is the only place where true answers can be found.

    These questions actually may never come up for people who know everything, or think that they do. If all of their questions have been answered ahead of time by their beliefs, or their philosophy, or their leader, no further inquiry is required . . . and then they are as good as dead! A philosophy or religion will never answer these deep, heartfelt questions.

    When the questions come up for them, they can convince themselves that they already have the answers, and then they don't have to look! But they don't have the answers; they have someone else's answers that they have only accepted as truth. They don't have the courage to look for themselves, because looking at these things tears down everything that they have ever believed in the past.

    Until we investigate ourselves, we will never experience that hot forge that tempers the true seeker. Without heat, we have only the answers of someone else; an escape, and therefore no fundamental change is made within. We remain a perpetual work in progress, where we continue barking, like hungry dogs, up the same ol' worldly trees, while espousing platitudes of divinity!

    If, however, we are fortunate to have something awaken us from all of this; then we can expect the questions to really get dicey quicker than a New York minute, culminating in the classic one, "What am I?"

    And only after this question comes up in our hearts do we realize the immensity of our inquiry, and that in time, only a true reversal of how we have been living can take us to our answer.

    Is This All There Is

    When we hit middle age or thereabouts, it's not unusual to begin asking questions such as, "Is this it?"

    Before that, we are busy with kids, careers, and all the things that, as we become older, begin slipping through our fingers like water - without our even realizing it at times.

    Whatever we are doing, or have done, is only temporary, and this takes a while to sink in. Even the money we have accumulated only buys so many vacations, cruises, or second and third homes; and pretty soon we find ourselves saying, "been there done that" way too many times.

    For questions such as, "Is this it?" to come up, something has to slow us down. As long as we can maintain our busyness, these kinds of questions may never come up. "Keep your mind busy, honey," (your grandmother might say), "A busy mind is a happy mind!" Good advice. Because once you begin to question things, busyness doesn't help so much - best to hold off these kinds of questions if you can, (unless you have guts!)

    But try as we might, sure as heck something usually happens to wake us up, if we're fortunate, and it usually isn't pretty - usually traumatic actually.     Dealing with Difficult People: 27 Secrets & Strategies You Can Apply Today

    1.Listen more effectively. Listening is the number one tool in communication, especially when dealing with difficult people.

    2.Step back and analyze the situation from an outside perspective. When we are less emotionally involved and "cool our jets," the answers come for how to effectively deal with them. Whether dealing with a difficult boss, dealing with a difficult co-worker, or spouse.

    3.Ignoring often doesnt work. The tension becomes so thick you can cut it with a knife.

    4.Choose your battles. There are times when you have to let it go. Know when to speak up and when to pick your battles.

    5.Criticize in person, praise in public. Never publicly criticize someone as you will look like the bad guy and the difficult person will only become more upset.

    6.Maintain respect for them even if you disagree or dislike them. At least acknowledge what they say. Think about how you would want to be treated.

    7.Seek first to understand then to be understood.

    8.People often wont care what you think unless they think you care. At least attempt to see it from their perspective.

    9.Maintain high expectations and standards if you are managing this employee. If you dont do this you will be seen as enabling their unacceptable behavior.

    10.Strive for greater communication. Often, its not that there isnt enough communication, its that its bad communication. Work on improving your conflict resolution skills. If you are a manager, consider training everyone in conflict resolution skills. One of the main reasons teams fail is because some of the people on the team don't like each other, or aren't skilled in how to handle conflict effectively.

    11.Invest in communication skills courses and conflict resolution skills courses to improve the part you can control you.

    12.Dont lose emotional control. Antagonists and passive-aggressives will often try to push your buttons.

    13.Avoid being around difficult people when theyre in a bad mood. If theyre always in a bad mood, try being around them when they are in a better mood!

    14.Accept, change or reject. Know that ultimately you only have three choices. 1) Accept the situation knowing it wont change. 2) Attempt to change your relationship with them by changing how you react. 3) If its really affecting your well being, it may be time to reject the situation and move on.

    15.No buts allowed! Dont follow giving them positive reinforcement with, But on the other hand The word but only negates everything positive you just said.

    16.Non-verbally position yourself at their eye level. For example, if they are sitting when you talk with them, sit. If they are standing, stand. Converse at their level.

    17.Avoid the word need when possible and use want instead. Saying politely and tactfully, John, I want to have the project in to me by noon so that we'll meet our deadline. "Want" is more assertive as long as it's in the right tone.

    18.Watch your tone of voice. Avoid an autocratic or sarcastic tone. The Latin root of the word sarcasm is "sarco" meaning tearing of the flesh!

    19.In face-to-face communication, words account for only 7% of what people notice and believe about you. Tone is 38% and body language 55%. So a full 93% is tone and body language.

    20.Give sincere positive reinforcement when they do something well. Show genuine appreciation. Often difficult people are difficult because they feel unappreciated.

    21.Avoid absolutes such as, You always and You never. It puts people further on the defensive.

    22.Dont take it personally. Often theyre difficult because of something going on with them.

    23.Watch your mental state. Dont let them drag you down. A little of that can be normal but dont allow it to go on.

    24.Remember the person who constantly angers you, or constantly intimidates you, controls you.

    25.Mutually agree to move on. Agree to disagree. If this isnt possible, at least move on in your own mind.

    26.Attempt to understand whats driving that difficult behavior. Get at the root cause, even if you only try to figure it out in your own mind.

    27.E + R = 0. Event + Reaction = Outcome. You cant control the event, but you can control the outcome based on how you react or respond. Be careful how you respond.

    For example, theres the story of the couple who were divorcing. A neighbor said to the wife, "Do you think youd ever get back together? She replied, "No, because we have said things to each other that are so horrible, that even after apologizing they could never be taken back. There's no way we'd get back together."

    The moral of the storybe careful what you say. Once those words are out, they're hard to take back.

    Successful Workshops

    Speak of workshops and people generally perk up with interest. It could be a workshop about gaining confidence. Or it could be about being able to find romance. Workshops are big business these days. So, learning how to attract your audience is the first thing you will need to learn if you are to run a successful workshop.

    My art workshops are generally smaller than most workshops you might be imagining. I am not talking about the kinds of audiences that Anthony Robbins and Jack Canfield normally motivate in speaking engagements. But, once in awhile you might see one of these high powered speakers speaking to a group of people the size of one of my normal workshops. A small group of twenty to thirty is about the size you should be expecting as you are just starting out giving workshops.

    In a group of this size, you can attract your audience in several ways. Some ideas come from the many talk shows that have paved the way. Other ideas are products of just plain good business. So, its a good thing to try them all.

    Have a Controversial Topic

    When you run a workshop, controversial topics arent hard to find. Most workshops have controversial issues connected to them anyway. Doing a workshop about gaining confidence has inherent controversial issues. People who have no clue what they are talking about are always attracting all the attention. The people who are the most boring are always the ones with the most information. Those are controversial even though they arent necessarily on a social or political scale.

    Coming up with a controversial issue for my own art workshops is as easy as talking about the board of education. With art slowly being cut from the education curriculum, all I have to pitch is the fact that art benefits the kids and their educations. I can raise some great attention just simply putting the news out about the benefits of art and how it is being cut from the schools.

    Give Your Audience a Question

    Believe it or not, questions are enticing. Especially if you ask an open ended question and you dont give an answer. Scores of people will come to either find out the answer or to give it. Youve just created an issue. It might be your controversial one too. If its a good enough question, youll definitely generate an audience ready to listen. What was the question for the art workshop? Simple.

    Give Something Away

    One of the tactics that attract people is when you give something away. Not everyone can be like Oprah and give a car to every member in her audience. But, you can always afford to give something away. Think about the services you provide, not the products you sell. Give time, no money. In my art workshops, I could give members of my audience a free workshop. I could have a system for choosing that would make audience members want to keep coming back to my workshop in hopes that I eventually give them a free workshop.

    Think about the services you provide and try to find a give-away in that. You just have to be creative. Make it interesting enough to want and youll have audience members.

    This is just the beginning of the system. You have to pull them in and keep them there. You have to keep them coming back in order to make your workshop endeavors a six-figure income enterprise. Workshops can easily be six-figure enterprises, art workshops are.

    Recharging Motivation

    Discouragement can block motivation because it's difficult to see a reason to put energy into a project or interest when you feel fairly hopeless. When it's gone, how do you get the drive back? When the juice just isn't there, how do you become regenerated to your purpose?

    Sometimes there are interests you may try, but a lack of passion leaves your heart uninvolved. In that case, do you really need that particular activity? Maybe you had an interest in sewing your own clothes a couple of years ago and now you have all of these unfinished projects just laying around. If there really is no interest in sewing, you have to ask yourself what will not hold your interest and be more energizing and fulfilling for you. Maybe sewing just isn't your thing.

    You really do not have to continue chastising yourself for unfinished things if it truly holds no joy at this point. Some of us grew up with the idea pounded into our heads that you always finish what you start. Does that even almost make sense? If you're so full at the dinner table that one more bite would be a disaster, then you simply don't finish. Sometimes there are situations that you are obligated to complete because of a prior commitment. This could be work related or family situation, or a promise to a friend. In those cases, it may be helpful to try to visualize what gave you the motivation when you started the project. Maybe it's career goals, family loyalty or a desire to help a friend. Let the memory of that renew your motivation. You will bring satisfaction to another person and be rewarded by the feeling you get when you keep a promise.

    It's not always easy to imagine the future, but try to imagine what you hope the outcome will be once you have reached your goal. At one point there was a spark when you began that project. You have to look inside and find that spark again. Sometimes when a project seems particularly grueling, this will cause doubt and worry. It is possible to get past what seems to be the most difficult parts and look once more with a fresh perspective.

    If you run into a problem at work that saps your motivation, try enlisting the aide of a supervisor or co-worker about that particular snag. Try your local home improvement store if you have a prickly home project. Of course, there is always my favorite, the Internet. There are more newsgroups and support forums than you can shake a stick at and they are great places to exchange ideas. You could receive feedback that will help you get past the sticky point in your project. These few simple things could be some of the tools you could use to recharge your motivation.

    What Is Your Favorite Color?

    Were you able to easily answer this question? Or did you have to take some time to think about it before you figured it out? Or maybe your answer was; I have no idea.

    This seems like a pretty simple question to answer on the surface right? Not so if you have been in a long term relationship or a marriage. It is not uncommon for partners in a relationship to lose their own voice. This is even more common for the women in a relationship, as we often time set aside what is important to us as we focus on our mate and our children. I know this was the case for me and I often times found it hard to differentiate between my voice and theirs. I have to admit I made a pretty awesome chameleon in my day.

    So what happens when that marriage or long term relationship ends? The answers to such simple questions as What is your favorite color, become more difficult. You are now forced to look inside yourself and find out what it is that makes you tick; that is if you want to be happy and content after your marriage or relationship ends.

    How do you find out what makes you happy if you buried your dreams for the sake of your family/mate? Great question! The first step for me was to sit down and make a list of all the things that I wanted to do or have now that I was accountable to no one but me. That was easier said then done. Yes, I sat down, and pulled out my trusty journal and just stared at the blank page. I realized then that my future was a blank canvass, how intimidating or should I say terrifying. But I was up to the challenge and soon found that the more appropriate phrase was how exciting. My future was of my making, wow talk about empowerment!

    I persevered and it was difficult, because my wants and needs were pushed so far down inside me that I had a hard time finding them. They slowly began to surface, however, once I put the idea out there. Being aware of my desire to be the true and authentic me allowed my daily focus to be on me. By doing this I was able to pay attention to those things around me that energized me.

    For example, I never finished college because I got married and had my daughter. This dream of being a college graduate I found never truly died, so I put that on my list. How did I uncover this lost dream? Well, when I started on my journey toward rediscovering myself, I continually came across advertisements for the University of Phoenix. Eventually, I realized that the reason I was noticing these advertisements so frequently was because I really wanted to get my degree. Awareness is half the battle! So after a few false starts I finally made the phone call and enrolled in the program. I am proud to say, two and a half years after that call I received my Bachelors Degree. See nothing is impossible! So start making your list today!

    Not all of the things on my list consisted of things that came from my past dreams. I began to notice new things that I would never have attempted to do when I was married, that I wanted to try and/or experience. How did I find these things? I began engaging in conversations with the people around me. One of my co-workers was a prime example. She was an avid skier and runner. I was impressed. So I started asking her questions. Her passion and enthusiasm for both sports really came through in her conversation. So I thought, why not give it a try. So I started to run and I attempted to ski. I found that I had a passion for running, but the skiing not so much. So I hung up my skis and married my running shoes.

    You dont have to wait for an end of a relationship to start rediscovering who you are and what you want from life. You too can take the time to make a list of the things you want to enjoy and experience. Dont let the demands of your mate or children be the excuse for living in mediocrity. Start becoming the person you were put on this earth to be, starting today! Doesnt the world deserve to experience the greatness of you?

    I still continue today to look for things to add to my list. Prior to this journey, I dreaded the beginning of each new day, now I embrace each new day with joy and excitement, open to finding something new and exciting to add to my list of things to experience. One thing that I can assure you of, there are two things that will never be on my list they are parachuting and mountain climbing. But, maybe you want to add those to your list. You wont know until you get started.

    Life is Like a Math Problem

    I bet you dont know this about me, but Im a math whiz! I love math, and I love numbers. Nothing used to make me happier in school than working algebra problems and differential equations. And, nothing challenged and inspired me more than diligently working ledger cards in my accounting job years ago. I know people thought I had some screws loose but 10 to 1, if you wanted to find me, there Id be puffing away on my cigarette, calculating away, and in heaven.

    Ive often wondered why working with numbers is so enjoyable for me. What is it that keeps me in the game? I would skip meals to do find answers and solutions. You cant imagine the look Id have given you for interrupting my flow and concentration.

    I know this might sound weird, but I would hang in there because I knew there was an answer or a solution that existed for each and every problem. Just knowing that the answer existed kept me in the game. I had no fear of getting it wrong or right. That didnt matter. What mattered was finding the answer. I couldnt believe that people would just give up and say, "I cant do this."

    Well, it hit me recently life is like a math problem. And life is like a ledger card. A solution exists, and it can be balanced! The variable (thats a math term for us math junkies) is you. Are you willing to do the work? Are you willing to hang in there, knowing the answer is there for you?

    Let's look at an analogy: What do you do when you cant find the answer to a math problem and you dont want to give up? You look for a tutor, someone who can guide and teach you. You find someone who can walk you step-by-step through the math problem, helping you figure our where you got turned around, why youre stuck, and how you might do it better next time. Whenever I got stuck Id find a similar problem, glance at the answer in the back of the book and compare it to the problem I was working on. This was a great way to learn.

    You can do life the same way. If you are stuck and feel like giving up, dont do it. Find a tutor, coach, or mentor to guide you and show you the way. Or, find someone who is law of successful at doing what you want to do and model, mentor, and learn from them.

    Just dont give up... theres always a way! Life is like a math problem! Keep after it... and don't stop... Run, Tuck Gump, run!!

    In our life we come across many such resources (including websites, divorce experts/attorneys etc) that are working to safeguard marriages and provide ways and means to educate people in-order to have a happy life and stay married forever. On the other hand also there are found organizations, institutions and experts who would do their best efforts to provide happiness to people by drawing them out of miserable marital life they are experiencing for whatsoever reason may be and thats through divorce.

    Well people on both these extremes are doing their part of work in promoting harmony, love and peace amongst people. Some focus on resolving the issues that arises in marital life while others focal point is to show people how divorce can bring an end to miserable relationship letting people breathe freely after they get divorced. But very wisely said it is always better to work on the cause rather than looking at the effect. Therefore we should think on finding the roots of the problems that more often than not occur in marriage and if can not be eradicated at least we can try to avoid them from happening after marriage.

    Every state of The United States has defined a set of reasons of divorce on the basis of which divorce may be granted. In most cases, the causes of divorce are complex and are specific to a couple's relationship, their troubles, and their own life experiences. Many people have cited irreconcilable differences, irretrievable breakdown, or incompatibility as major causes of divorce in different locations. The most commonly stem from one specific issue that is compounded by a lack of commitment to the marriage and having a poor or bad communication in between each other. There are other common causes of divorce that include money, infidelity, and career choices.

    Marriage experts agree to the fact that communication problems are the root causes of divorce and they further lead and give birth to other as well. Because when two people lack communication, they are unable to solve problems that may occur in the marriage. Many married couples think that the minor problems that occur in their marriage, are insignificant, and are not worth talking about; however, they fail to realize that even the smallest things can cause conflict between the two when they are not able to solve them through communication. Many couples lack communication when it comes to making decisions about shared finances. And here money also become of the reason of divorce. Many people say money is the root of evil; the disagreement in a decision shown by one spouse can bring a drastic effect on the marriage.

When one of the parents is closely related to children and the other is not able to provide attention, the relation takes another extreme turn and that is affairs (whether emotional infidelity or extramarital sex i.e. adultery) and which is becoming a very common cause and reason of divorce today.

    As time passes by a spouse then finds warmth and affection from outside the relationship. Consequently starts cheating on the other and affairs tend to start. The outsider (to the marital relationship) then gradually starts filling hatred in your heart against your spouse. It truly fulfills no purpose, and can only aid in destroying what is left of the couple's marriage.

    Therefore, divorce, no matter whatsoever the reason is, is never as easy as it is conceived. Whether a couples decision to divorce is for the good or bad, it is certain there are many affect that it has on the couples individual lives. The major causes of divorce so far clearly identified could be communication problems, lack of commitments, children support, money, affair and adultery.
